Metro is required to document funded projects scheduled to use federal funds over the next four years. The current cycle is documented in the 2024-27 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
Metro is in receipt of the proposed MTIP formal amendments:
The purpose of this amendment is to make the necessary funding corrections, increases and fund reprogramming to the 2024-27 MTIP. This amendment adds two new projects managed by the Oregon Department of Transportation to meet federal delivery requirements:
- Complete street design upgrades on North Lombard Street from North Delaware Street to North Denver Avenue, including updgraging curbs and ramps to meet ADA standars, redesigning and adding bike lanes,
reconfiguring the roadway to three lanes (from North Boston Avenue to Lancaster Avenue) and a traffic signal upgrade at Denver Avenue.
- Expand transit service along the Interstate 205 corridor between Stafford Road and Sunnybrook Road by creating a new bus-on-shoulder dedicated transit lane using an existing ODOT right-of-way.
