Program approach
The mission of the program is to facilitate collective investment for greater community impact. To achieve this mission, the Partnerships and Social Innovation program will do the following:
Engage community
Community engagement is a crucial part of this program. To meaningfully engage communities, the program will center ongoing communication, trust-building and collaboration.
Identify opportunities and design solutions
The program will work with community members and stakeholders to identify issues and priorities where community investment can have the greatest impact. Solutions will be co-designed with communities and partners.
Develop partnerships
Public-private partnerships have the most transformative effect when each entity brings their own strengths. Partners will collaborate on the development of shared goals for collective investment. This includes working with diverse cross-sector organizations to identify and explore mutual interests and opportunities for partnership.
Invest in community
Project funding is designed to be a collaborative co-investment from public, philanthropic and private sources. Funding will support projects that can make meaningful progress towards advancing racial equity and climate action while also building a vibrant community where everyone’s needs are easily met.
Share accountability
Communities and partners will help monitor and evaluate projects to ensure they are having the desired impacts on the intended communities.
