Crystal Meneses an Oregon death doula, hospice chaplain and arts activist, has written legacy songs in honor of Oregonians who have died. These songs will be debuted at Metro cemeteries in the Last Words Concert Series.
In the early 19th century communities used to gather for picnics in their local cemeteries, and there are many cultural practices where communities honor their ancestors by sharing food and memories together where loved ones are buried. Bring a picnic to the show and embrace living and dying through community and song.
