The Nature in Neighborhoods Capital Grants program will award up to $5 million this year across the Metro area for three-year grants of $100,000 to $1 million. The Capital Grants support community-led projects that benefit historically marginalized communities, protect and improve water quality and fish and wildlife habitat, support climate resilience and increase people’s experience of nature at the community scale through neighborhood livability, land acquisition, urban transformation and habitat restoration projects. These grants are possible thanks to support from voters, who in 2019 renewed the parks and nature bond.
