Metro is required to document funded projects scheduled to use federal funds over the next four years. The current cycle is documented in the 2021-24 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
Metro is in receipt of the proposed MTIP formal amendments:
The purpose of this amendment is to make the necessary funding corrections, increases and fund reprogramming to the 2021-24 MTIP. This amendment adds three new projects and cancels one project to enable the required federal approval actions to move forward:
- Beaverton School District electric vehicle chargers: purchase and install up to 22 new electric vehicle wall-mount charging stations
- TriMet Transit Center electric vehicle chargers: purchase and install up to 12 electric vehicle chargers at TriMet's Powell bus garage and two opportunity fast chargers in the layover area of Beaverton Transit Center
- Interstate Bridge Replacement - Hayden Island ground improvement study: implement the new United States Department of Transportation bridge improvement program study to ODOT in support of the Interstate 5 bridge replacement project to help mitigate seismic risks. This includes assessing soil stabilization techniques including solid mixing, compaction grouting, jet grouting and the use of stone columns to minimize soil liquefaction during the preliminary engineering stage of the project
- Oregon Route 213 - South Redland Road to Springwater Road: cancel and remove this project from the 2021-24 MTIP
