The return of rain replenishes wetlands, and the beavers, birds, and migration wildlife are on the move. Learn more about wetland habitats' role in the ecosystem and have the opportunity for wildlife watching and birding in a thriving area. This outing will focus on learning what makes a wetland and its importance, birding basics such as species identifications, using an identification guide, understanding bird behavior and habitat, ethics, and respect when birding and wildlife watching, staying patient, practicing mindfulness, and tuning into our observation skills.

Pets can damage sensitive habitat and threaten wildlife the region has worked to protect. In natural areas where dogs are not allowed, people see more wildlife and get closer to it. Seeing-eye dogs or other service animals are allowed. Please bring cleanup materials.
