Sustained economic competitiveness and prosperity is one of the key attributes of a great community, and in these difficult times we need to do all we can to support our businesses. Active and busy downtowns support both businesses and communities.
This summer and fall, Metro’s Get Street Smart series is offering a series of classes designed to help businesses promote their shops and bring in customers. This free series offers professional expertise for retail shops, restaurants, and ground floor businesses in order to create more vibrant and prosperous communities.
The next Get Street Smart session for businesses located in the east part of the Metro region will be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the Oregon Trail Room, Gresham City Hall, 1333 NW Eastman Parkway. Join retail strategist Seanette Corkill and architect Brian Emerick and learn how seating, planters, and displays can boost sidewalk appeal and bring in customers.
Please share this with anyone who may be interested in attending this free event.
After July 11, there are four more chances to attend a Get Street Smart session in Gresham:
- Thursday, Aug. 16: Trade secrets of distinctive signs and lighting
- Friday, Sept. 14: Design your way to improved sales
- Wednesday, Oct. 10: Window reflections (Is your best side showing?)
- Wednesday, Nov. 14: Can-do customer promotions
All of these sessions will begin at 8 a.m. and take place at Gresham City Hall, 1333 NW Eastman Parkway.
