Regional partners are working together to explore investment options along Tualatin Valley Highway, or TV Highway, to make transit access safer, improve rider experience, and make the bus faster and more reliable.
Metro and TriMet are studying a new kind of bus service called Frequent Express (FX). This new service could replace Line 57 on TV Highway.
FX is an enhanced bus service that includes many elements of bus rapid transit: stations with more amenities, improved transit speeds and reliability, and safer pedestrian connections to bus stations. TriMet currently has one FX route: FX2-Division.

Bus rapid transit would bring:
- Safer access to all stations with new or improved crossings across TV Highway
- A more reliable and quick bus ride with buses arriving every 12 minutes every day, most of the day, and stopping less often
- More comfortable bus stations throughout the corridor with shelters, seating, lighting, and real-time arrival information
- ADA access at all stations
- Faster travel time through changes to traffic signals and intersections
- Zero emissions buses
