Portland Center for the Performing Arts Assistant Executive Director Lori Leyba Kramer has earned the Certified Facilities Executive designation from the International Association of Assembly Managers. The designation was bestowed upon 12 individuals during IAAM's 2010 annual conference VenueConnect in Houston. Among venue management professionals, the CFE designation is an indication of demonstrated skill in leadership, activity in community affairs and expertise in management of public venue facilities.
"The CFE is our industry's highest acknowledgement of a professional's depth of knowledge in our business", said Robyn Williams, CFE, PCPA Executive Director. "Obtaining this certification recognizes Lori's expertise and commitment to the industry."
Prior to certification, Leyba Kramer was rated on her experience and accomplishments in all aspects of public assembly venue management and successfully completed a comprehensive written paper and both written and oral examinations, which test executive level knowledge of all venue types in the public assembly venue management profession-including convention centers, stadiums, arenas and performing arts centers.
A veteran in the field of Venue Management, Leyba Kramer has worked for PCPA for 25 years and currently serves as Assistant Executive Director. In addition to earning this certification, she is also a graduate of IAAM's Public Assembly Facility Management School, IAAM's PAFMS at Oglebay and the three-year IAAM Senior Executive Symposium at Cornell University. She currently sits on the IAAM Board of Governors, serves as 1st Vice President for IAAM Region IV, and is part of the IAAM Performing Arts Centers Committee.
