The Public Engagement Review Committee advises the Metro Council on the development and maintenance of civic engagement processes that promote communication between the public and the Metro Council. PERC has the responsibility to advise Metro Council on updates to the Public Engagement Guide.
The committee members represent the geographic and demographic diversity of the greater Portland region including Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties. They meet a minimum of two times a year and serve as a key component of Metro’s ongoing efforts to develop and implement successful public engagement plans. PERC meetings are open to the public and provide a public comment opportunity at the beginning of every meeting.
