All donated material must be in reusable condition. Donations are accepted at staff discretion based on condition. A detailed list of materials accepted is on their website.
General Information

The ReBuilding Center is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.

Free pick-up of donated materials is offered for large and pre-approved loads, and for people who lack personal transportation. To see if items qualify for a pick up, call or text 503-310-7701, or email [email protected]

Cannot accept materials containing hazardous substances or items that have been recalled.

Bathtub-metal	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Accepts cast iron, steel, and porcelain coated bathtubs. No major chips or cracks.
Brick	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Whole brick with no grout. No fire brick. Accepts concrete blocks and pavers, no grout.
Ceramic tile	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Unused only, at least 100 square feet of boxed, matching tile. Smaller quantities may be accepted at staff discretion.
Engineered wood	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Accepts siding and flooring must be at least 3' long, de-nailed and no failing paint. Call first before dropping off. Plywood and OSB must be at least 4'x4'. Chipboard must be at least 4'x8'. Pressed board only accepted in full sheets. Medium density fiberboard (MDF) must be new in full sheets, 4'x8'.

Mirrors	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Accepts framed and unframed mirrors in good, useable condition, up to 3' x 5' with squared corners. Unframed mirrors should have the edges taped.
Plate glass			✓	✓	✓	Accepts framed vinyl or wood windows, up to 32 square feet in size; for larger windows, call first. No failed seals or failing paint. Accepts unframed mirrors up to 3'x3' square, and framed mirrors in larger sizes. Also accepts mirrored closet doors. No other loose glass is accepted.
Porcelain fixtures	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Toilets must be low flow or pre-1940's. Accepts sinks and tubs, no major chips or cracks (except vintage porcelain). Neutral colors only.
Power tools			✓		✓	Must be in good working condition.
Pressure treated wood	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Must be in good condition and at least 4' long and de-nailed.
Salvaged and used building material	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Accepts some roofing materials: 3 tab & architectural(new, in bundles), wood shake(denailed, no rot), metal & fiberglass. Accepts many reusable building materials like: cabinets, doors, light fixtures, hardware, bat or rigid insulation, pipes 5' or longer, gutters, windows (see plate glass) and more. Call for details. Accepts whole carpet squares, in reusable condition without excessive glue. Accepts composite products like Trex and plastic and vinyl fencing material in good, reusable condition. Moldings and casings must be at least 5' long, de-nailed and no failing paint. Accepts mirrors up to 3'x5' in good condition. Square, taped edges, no glue. Does not accept Fluorescent light fixtures, halide light fixtures, mercury vapor lights, warehouse sodium light fixtures or high bay lights.
Untreated wood	✓	✓	✓	✓	✓	Dimensional lumber must be in good condition, at least 4' long, and de-nailed. Rough cut lumber with nails must be at least 6' long. Acceptance is based on quantity; call first.
