The long battle over whether or not to build the Oregon Convention Center Hotel appears to be over.
Metro announced today that it has reached an agreement with a coalition of opponents who’ve been fighting the proposed hotel. The agreement transfers ownership of a parking lot near the Oregon Convention Center to Gordon Sondland’s Aspen Lodging Group, one of the main coalition members that has been spearheading opposition; in exchange, all ongoing litigation that had attempted to derail the project is considered settled.
