Metro is required to document funded projects scheduled to use federal funds over the next four years. The current cycle is documented in the 2024-27 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
Metro is in receipt of the proposed MTIP formal amendments:
The purpose of this amendment is to make the necessary funding corrections, increases and fund reprogramming to the 2024-27 MTIP. This amendment adds or amends nine project awards to meet federal delivery requirements:
- East Forest Grove safety improvement project. On OR-8 (North Adair Street) in eastern Forest Grove at milepost 17.35 at the Yew Street intersection, install a new traffic signal to reduce crashes and provide better protection for pedestrians to connect a low-income and historically disadvantaged community to transit and commercial options.
- OR-120 Columbia Slough Bridge in Portland. Bridge replacement of the existing timber structure that is obsolete, costly to continuously repair, and can no longer support heavier loads.
- Portland Metro Area 2024-27 curb ramps, phase 3. Construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards on OR-99E and US-26.
- Portland Metro Area 2024-27 curb ramps, phase 4. Construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards on I-84, US-26, US-30, OR-99E, OR-211, OR-281, and OR-282.
- Portland Metro Area 2024-27 curb ramps, phase 5. Construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards on OR-219 and OR-8.
- OR-8 curb ramps in Beaverton and Hillsboro. Construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards on OR-8.
- OR-224 and OR-213 curb ramps in Happy Valley and Mulino. Construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards on OR-224 and OR-213.
- OR-141 curb ramps in Durham. Construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards on OR-141.
- City of Portland safety project. Portland wide safety upgrades including intersection improvements, upgrade curb ramps, utility relocation, signal work, medians, traffic separators, striping and signing to improve safety.
