Thanks in part to voter investments, new aluminum docks with fiberglass decking have been installed at Sauvie Island Boat Ramp, which provides access to Multnomah Channel. The new dock replaces the heavily used dock that was about 20 years old.
The replacement project is possible thanks to grants totaling $161,000 from the Oregon State Marine Board. Metro is contributing $55,000 from the parks and natural areas levy that voters in the region approved in 2013.
