Metro is required to document funded projects scheduled to use federal funds over the next four years. The current cycle is documented in the 2021-24 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
Metro is in receipt of the proposed MTIP formal amendments:
The purpose of this amendment is to make the necessary funding corrections, increases and fund reprogramming to the 2021-26 MTIP. The project submitted for amendment in this amendment includes:
- Kellog Creek Dam restoration in Clackamas County: the design activities include National Environmental Policy Act regulations for the removal of Kellogg Creek dam, replacement of Oregon Route 99E structure and habitat restoration of watershed.
- U.S. Route 26 safety enhancements at Stone Road in Clackamas County: installation of a traffic separator in the median of the highway to restrict the side street approaches to right-in, right-out and left-in. These enhancements will improve safety, especially at night.
- Inner Powell safety enhancements: adding striping, signage and school zone evaluation to improve pedestrian safety along Southeast Powell Boulevard between Southeast 7th Avenue and Interstate 205.
