For anyone who lives, works or travels through the southwest part of the region, a community forum on May 23 will be a chance to weigh in on potential transportation, parks and nature projects planned for the area.
6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 23
Tualatin Library
18878 SW Martinazzi Ave.
Learn and contribute your vision to potential projects that will strengthen communities and make it easier to get around in the southwest part of our region.
Metro and its partners invite you to attend the Southwest Corridor Plan community planning forum to find out more about high capacity transit alternatives being considered. Weigh in on potential routes and destinations for MAX or bus rapid transit, other roadway, bicycle and pedestrian, and parks and nature projects in the corridor. Project partners will be on hand to talk about specific projects and answer your questions.
This is the third community planning forum for the Southwest Corridor Plan convened in 2012 and 2013, providing an opportunity for residents to share information and learn from others about local land use plans, understand the Southwest corridor and discuss corridor-wide trade-offs and provide targeted feedback on project proposals.
The Southwest Corridor Plan is a partnership between Metro, the Oregon Department of Transportation, TriMet, Multnomah County, Washington County and the Cities of Portland, Sherwood, Tigard, Tualatin, Beaverton, Durham, King City and Lake Oswego.
