Act quickly. Dried urine is hard to remove and can leave a lingering odor.
- Blot as much as possible.
- Rinse thoroughly with equal parts cool water and white distilled vinegar, or spray or sponge onto the stain.
- Let stand for 10 minutes or so before blotting the mixture with a sponge or paper towel.
- Apply dishwashing liquid or wet spotter and rinse with cool water.
Tip: You can get rid of odor and urine stains with enzymatic cleaners available in the natural food section of many grocery stores.
