Access to a dock at Chinook Landing Marine Park is temporarily off-limits as Metro and local authorities investigate why a gangway collapsed on June 22, injuring two people.
The collapse happened on a walkway that connects a wooden walkway to a dock on the water. Police said two people were jumping on the dock before the gangway collapsed.
The dock is home to the marine park's sewage pump-out station, which is closed until further notice.
The rest of Chinook Landing Marine Park, including the boat launch, remains open. Boaters can also use Metro's Sauvie Island Boat Ramp.
