Registration is now open for the 2013 Bike Commute Challenge
Join the friendly competition – workplace against workplace – to see who can bike to work more in the month of September during the Bicycle Transportation Alliance Bike Commute Challenge.
The Challenge officially kicks off September 1st, but you can register now to get discounts on new and renewing BTA Memberships, free shipping on a Bike Commute Challenge t-shirt, and deals on PDW light sets.
The Bike Commute Challenge is a friendly competition between work sites to encourage employees to bike to work. It's easy, fun and free. To participate, register online and then ride to receive discounts at local bike shops and more. Whether you're a rider or an employer, whether you're thinking about trying bike commuting for the first time, or you're an experienced rider, the Challenge is for you.
Signing up is simple – register at the Bike Commute Challenge web site and check to see if your workplace is already registered. If not, when you sign yourself up, your workplace is automatically entered – and you get to be the captain (lucky you).
In 2012, BTA's commute challenge attracted 11,745 riders in 1,395 participating work places. Combined, they biked more than 1.3 million miles in a month.
