In a partnership effort in promoting safety, livability, jobs and local control, Metro has joined the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry's effort to develop a regional bilingual sustainability exhibit.
OMSI was awarded a National Science Foundation Grant which included funds for Metro project lead staff. The exhibit is intended to impact behavior change, be a model for innovation and develop a "green" exhibit certification guide. The exhibit is slated to be launched in 2012-13 and will be shared with other museums around the country.
Partners are OMSI, City of Portland, Verde, neighborhood associations, Lewis and Clark College, Coalition for a Livable Future, Portland Community College, Portland State University, Oregon State University, several bilingual consultants and advisors, and many national museum design and program advisors.
