After an extensive national search, Portland Center for the Performing Arts has selected Jason Blackwell as its new operations manager. Blackwell is responsible for backstage operations, engineering, utility, building maintenance, and custodial services as well as capital improvement projects.
Blackwell, who began his new position Sept. 30, has 15 years experience in facilities operations and event management. He joins PCPA after serving since 2000 as facilities manager for San Francisco Ballet.
Portland Center for the Performing Arts is the region’s premier performing arts venue management organization. Under the guidance of Metro, PCPA manages the Keller Auditorium, Arlene Schnitzer Concert and Antoinette Hatfield Hall, which houses the Dolores Winningstad and Newmark theatres and Brunish Hall.
