Metro’s media team works to address reporter inquiries on a timely basis and serves as a liaison between the media and Metro staff. Media relations staff will attempt to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.

B-roll library
Metro maintains a library of video for B-roll purposes. This includes aerial photographs of communities around the region, and stock footage of projects Metro is working on. These videos are public records.
Metro style points and quick facts
- Metro does not operate TriMet. TriMet is an important partner of Metro but Metro has no authority over the region’s transit operations, and TriMet has its own governor-appointed board that makes decisions for it.
- Metro does not operate curbside garbage collection – local governments award curbside pickup contracts to various businesses.
- Metro does not set curbside garbage rates – city and county governments set those rates.
- Metro is not “Oregon Metro.” While oregonmetro.gov is the web domain, that is not the agency's name.
- Metro is not METRO. While at one point METRO was the agency wordmark, the name was never all-caps nor an acronym.
