A debate featuring a proponent and opponent of the plan to build a Hyatt near the Oregon Convention Center are scheduled to debate at the City Club of Portland's Friday lunch on Sept. 6.
The debate, to be moderated by Len Reed, an associate editor at The Oregonian, will feature a proponent and opponent of the hotel project. Those debaters are expected to be announced later this week.
Tickets to the lunch and debate, scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m. at the Governor Hotel, 614 SW 11th Avenue in Portland, are $30 for the general public. Seating without lunch is available for $15 for the public. Reservations are required for lunch.
