Metro is required to document funded projects scheduled to use federal funds over the next four years. The current cycle is documented in the 2024-27 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
Metro is in receipt of the proposed MTIP formal amendments:
The purpose of this amendment is to make the necessary funding corrections, increases and fund reprogramming to the 2024-27 MTIP. This amendment adds five new project awards to meet federal delivery requirements:
- Additional funding to compelete the extension of NW Division St between NW Wallula Ave and NW Birdsdale Ave. Active transportation improvements to include ADA improvements, sidewalk infill, curbs, ramps and bike lanes.
- Additional funding to install electronic signage warning of up upcoming traffic along SW Capitol Highway.
- Funding to complete Hayden Island building demolition as part of the Interstate Bridge Replacement Project.
- Addiitonal funding to complete enhanced sidewalks including ADA curb ramps and reduced crossing distances for pedestrians, enhanced access to Rose Quarter Transit Center, Portland Streetcar and other services along Broadway and supporting connections.
- Supplemental funding of about 5 million dollars to construct Ice Age Drive, connecting SW Oregon St and SW Dahlke Lane.
