Southwest Corridor project staff recently released a staff recommendation to the plan's steering committee about which light rail route and station options, as well as related transportation projects, should go into a detailed federal environmental review.
The recommendation refines the options described in the Proposed Range of Alternatives for Environmental Review. That document, originally released Sept. 1, defines the initial set of investments proposed to be studied in the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement, a 12-to-15 month study of the project's potential impacts on communities and the environment.

The steering committee discussed this recommendation at its Nov. 14 meeting.
The committee will consider the recommendation and take action at a meeting in Tigard on Monday, Dec. 12. The public is invited to provide testimony at the beginning of the meeting.
