Investigators are looking into a fire that damaged restrooms and temporarily closed Mount Talbert Nature Park around 1 a.m. Friday. The park reopened early Friday afternoon, but bathrooms will remain shut until they can be repaired. Metro managers were on site Friday to assess the damage.
The park, at 10695 SE Mather Road in Clackamas, is owned by Metro and operated by the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District. A small restroom building and picnic shelter are located next to the Mather Road parking lot, where visitors can begin exploring four miles of trails.
If you have information about the fire, call Clackamas Fire District #1 at 503-742-2600.
