The Metro Council is working with local leaders and communities to develop a package of investments that could make it safer, easier and more affordable to get around greater Portland. Metro is now inviting input in a survey on one area of these investments. The package is expected to be finalized over the next couple of months, and the Metro Council will then consider referring it to voters on the November 2020 ballot.

Electric buses. Discounted transit for students. Preventing displacement. These are examples of types of investments Metro is considering including in a large package to make transportation safer and more reliable for everyone in greater Portland. What's important to you?
Take the survey
The draft plan includes investments to make travel safer and easier along our region's major travel routes. Funding can also address key local and regional concerns, helping to ensure that everyone in the Portland area shares in the benefits of these investments.
Goals to improve safety, address climate change, reduce traffic and prioritize benefits for those who need them most are guiding decisions about these investments. Input from people like you - people who move around the region every day in cars, on buses or the MAX, on walking and bike routes, navigating busy intersections and rush hour traffic - are also guiding decisions.
So take the survey! It should take 10-15 minutes. Your input will help inform the Metro Council’s decisions as they finalize the plan. The survey closes on March 13.
