The annual candy egg hunt returns to Blue Lake Regional Park on April 7, 2012
Bring the family to Blue Lake Regional Park on Saturday, April 7, for a fun-filled candy egg hunt. Enjoy a hoppin’ good time with free face painting and coloring under covered shelters. The fun begins, rain or shine, at 10:30 a.m. with an egg hunt for children age 4 and under. Children ages 5-10 begin their egg hunt at 10:45 a.m.
While you are there, visit the natural discovery garden to smell the flowers, touch the leaves and gather ideas to make your yard pesticide-free, safe and fun for kids, pets, songbirds, lakes and streams. People of all ages can explore an active worm bin, dig for "fossils," discover, rub and sniff plants, find the softest leaves, and see what wildlife have to say about natural gardening.
All Bunny Bonzana and discovery garden activities are free with your annual pass or parking fee of $5 per car or $7 per bus. For more information, call 503-665-4995. To protect the wildlife habitat and for their own safety, leave your pets at home; pets are not permitted at any of Metro’s parks and natural areas.
