Description of facility and application

ECR submitted an application to Metro to renew its solid waste facility license to operate a facility that receives and processes dry waste to recover recyclable materials. ECR accepts and processes mixed non-putrescible waste including, but not limited to, construction and demolition debris, furniture and mattresses, plastics, metals, paper, wood and inert materials for material recovery. ECR is a locally-owned company that has operated under a Metro license since 1986. ECR’s license will expire on June 30, and it has submitted a complete application to Metro for a license renewal with no changes to its authorization.

According to city of Portland, the proposed use is allowed.
