Metro is required to document funded projects scheduled to use federal funds over the next four years. The current cycle is documented in the 2015-18 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
Metro is in receipt of the Proposed MTIP Formal Amendments:
The purpose of this bundled amendment is to make necessary funding corrections, increases, fund reprogramming, and add new projects to the 2015-18 MTIP.
Per an additional review, the Clackamas County projects initially submitted via an administrative amendment were determined not eligible and must complete a formal amendment due to the amendment rules for cost increases. They are being re-submitted as part of the February 2017 Formal amendment. Portland’s Red Electric Trail (Key 17268), Springwater Trail Gap (Key 18416), and Twenties Bikeway (Key 17267) projects all were submitted via administrative amendments but were deemed required to be processed as a Formal amendment.
The public review period for this amendment bundle starts on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 and concludes on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 5 p.m.
