With International Walk + Bike to School Day coming Oct. 7, we talked with kids at Southwest Portland's Hayhurst Elementary to see why they like walking and biking to school.

Every kid has their own reason -- but they all add up to more exercise, better school performance and as one girl puts it, more time to think.
